Caroline Swolfs is a Brussels based fine jewelry designer. When discovering her work, one feels absorbed into her graceful universe, full of fluid poetry. Each pieces are as many drops of pure and simple elegance. Her concept is as clear as spring water: reinventing the droplet each season, a theme she holds so dear and masters so delicately.
With her degree freshly owned from a Brussels business school, Caroline Swolfs started a marketing career in the advertising industry. Despite the promising path ahead, at the age of 27, she realized she needed something extra from life: a personal and creative practice. She registered with the Academy of Arts and her true passion in life revealed itself: the crafting of jewelry, once a child’s dream, would finally become a reality.
Finally launched in 2000, Caroline Swolfs’ eponymous jewelry brand is synonym today of refined and sensual designs for elegant, confident and dynamic women. Each season, she creates a small collection based on a sleek and timeless design. Asked about her creative process, Caroline Swolfs says: “My inspiration comes from everything around me, nature, people, the arts. However, the major inspiration of all is the droplet. I think it inspires me because water is my favourite element; it is there that my creativity finds its source.” With its spherical shape and smooth surface, the droplet has become the constant constraint around which Caroline Swolfs reinvents her designs each season, proving us that with creativity metamorphoses are infinite.

In a world where everything must continuously go faster, Caroline Swolfs chooses to take the time to create something truly inspired and meaningful to her. She attaches great importance to the finishing of her pieces, some models being entirely handmade. She also tests every design thoroughly to verify that they are all as beautiful to the eye as comfortable to the body. Her predilection materials are both gold and silver. And although she sometimes incorporates gemstones or semi-precious stones in her designs, these will always remain discreet, in accordance with her refined and minimalist signature. Caroline Swolfs’ jewelry are definitely the kind of beautiful objects to keep to pass down to a daughter. They are wearable pieces of sculpture.
